Dear Program Directors and Coordinators,

We are reaching out on behalf of the Ohio Chapter of the American College of Surgeons to share exciting opportunities for your trainees to again participate in our upcoming annual meeting, in Cincinnati, May 8-9, 2026.  There are several ways your trainees can get involved in the program:

  • SPECTACULAR CASES: Residents and medical students are invited to submit abstracts of cases with spectacular significance due to a multidisciplinary approach in management. Selected cases will be presented at the annual meeting. Much like a morbidity and mortality conference, cases will be presented to expert panel members, followed by an interactive discussion.  Residents and medical students can submit their case by 1/31 at the following link: https://knowledgeconnex.secure-platform.com/a/page/OHACS2026.

  • SURGICAL JEOPARDY: Residents are invited to submit a pair (one senior and one junior resident preferred) to compete in jeopardy covering surgical trivia! The winner will be nominated to compete in the national Surgical Jeopardy at the 2026 ACS Clinical Congress. Residents can submit their competing residents by 1/31 at the following link: https://www.ohiofacs.org/2026-oh-acs-surgical-jeopardy/.

  • RESIDENT RESEARCH COMPETITION: Residents and medical students are invited to submit their scientific abstracts, in clinical or basic science, to the chapter Resident Research Competition. Selected abstracts will be invited for a podium or quickshot presentation. Residents and medical students can submit their abstract by 1/31 at the following link: https://knowledgeconnex.secure-platform.com/a/page/OHACS2026.
